Meet Dulan Anjelo
To be honest, I can't look at a product without wondering how it was built and how I'd build it better. I'm an Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate from Swinburne (4.0 GPA, merit scholarship) and I learn by building. I'm naturally curious, hands on, and comfortable moving between technical problem solving, product development and working with people. At uni I turned pretty much every unit into something that actually ran. Dispatch systems, an agentic AI trading workflow, network analysis, a railway crossing prototype, that kind of stuff.
In Feb 2026 I founded Care Compass AI, a startup that takes the documentation pain out of aged care. The idea came straight from my own shifts at Opal HealthCare, watching nurses type the same information three times. I lead a team of four engineers across React, Python/FastAPI and MongoDB, and I own the product side end to end. Before that I built Panda Vision AI at uni, a prototype that turns text prompts into 3D motion graphics, with another four engineers building on the engine I owned. We launched it and we never got real customers. That honestly taught me more about product than any win would have. Talk to users first, ship the smallest thing, measure honestly. Add two engineering internships and my current role leading a team of ten at Opal, and the one thing that runs through all of it is I own things from the idea all the way to a working result.

General Services Manager
Opal HealthCare
- Promoted from General Services Officer to lead 10 staff across maintenance and hospitality services. I manage rostering, safety and compliance.
- Manage stock purchasing and coordinate how supplies move and get distributed to keep daily operations running.
- Work closely with nursing and clinical leads on facility needs. Being on the frontline every day keeps deepening my understanding of documentation, handover and incident reporting problems.

Product & Engineering Lead · Founder
Care Compass AI (startup)
- Founded Care Compass AI after seeing the documentation pain firsthand while working in aged care.
- Turn real aged care workflows into AI assisted care plans, incident reports and ISBAR shift handovers that cut duplicated entry and make documentation consistent.
- Lead 4 engineers. I define requirements, prioritise features and coordinate development across React, Python/FastAPI and MongoDB.
- Integrated LLM APIs, role based access control, rate limiting and pytest. I keep refining the product from what I see on the floor and present the working prototype for stakeholder feedback.

General Services Officer
Opal HealthCare
- Hospitality services, facility upkeep, safety checks and day to day Care Community operations, coordinating with maintenance, nursing and hospitality teams.
- Working next to nursing staff showed me the admin burden around care plans, shift handovers and incident reports, with the same information typed over and over and inconsistencies across documents.
- Spotting that recurring frontline problem is where the Care Compass AI idea came from.

Engineering Intern
Startek Technologies
- Validated Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) accuracy through image and metadata analysis for truck weighing and towed unit systems.
- Checked captured vehicle registration data against system records, documented test results and reported discrepancies for engineering review.
- Supported technical investigation of system behaviour and data quality across real world vehicle weighing workflows.

Electrical Engineering Intern
Ashen Motors
- Installed automotive sound systems, speakers, amplifiers, lighting systems and electrical accessories in passenger vehicles.
- Worked with vehicle wiring, power distribution, fuses, grounding and control connections under senior technician supervision.
- Tested installations and diagnosed electrical, power and signal faults with hands on troubleshooting.

The train station scene, where Arjun finally lets years of failure out in one breath, has never once failed to wreck me. It reminds me that comebacks aren't miracles. They're discipline, done quietly, long after everyone stopped watching.
